Payment Methods
On Checkout, you’ll be presented with the Payment Options:
- EFT
- Secure online payments with WalletDoc (For secure Credit and Debit Card Transactions)
- If you are collecting your order you can swipe with your card or pay cash (only available on existing stock. Ad hoc orders are to be paid upfront and in full).
An online order is only processed once payment has been received and cleared. Lead time for production will commence from this date.

Due to the varied range of products we stock courier and shipping rates will be calculated and charged separately and on receipt of order.
Production and Courier lead times are estimates only. We aim to deliver all orders before or to our clients deadlines. Occasionally we do, from time to time, suffer unforeseen circumstances that may effect lead times of orders. In such circumstances we are committed to keeping communication between us and you (the client) open and transparent so that we can work together to find a solution.
Stock
CLIMBING GRIPS
- COLOUR AND SHAPE VARIATIONS – Not all the listed shapes are always available as we sometimes retire shapes and make way for new ones. Gecko climbing grip sets are packed according to size therefore shapes may differ from set to set.
- Colour hues may vary from grip to grip or set to set. If you prefer to have as little discrepancy in colour and shapes for your order we recommend placing a custom order with us specifying your choice.
- We take utmost care when handling and packing climbing grips to prevent scratching and wear before delivery to client. However due to the resin compound it is not unlikely to see “blemishes” on your grips when you receive them.
- LEAD TIMES – We generally keep a small amount of stock of popular climbing hold sizes and colours. Lead time for items in stock is approximately 1 – 5 working days from confirmation of payment (dependent on delivery method and area order will be delivered to).
- Lead time for custom or large orders is approximately 5 – 7 working days from confirmation of payment ( Occasionally we do experience high volumes of orders and the lead time may increase, we will communicate lead times with you to keep you up to date).
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
- After 7 days from delivery, no discussion will be entered into regarding damaged product or errors.
- LIMITED WARRANTY. Unless otherwise stated in writing climbing grips and holds are covered by a limited warranty against breakage to the original Buyer. This limited warranty against breakage only covers defects in materials and workmanship in the Products. Color fading on the Products over time is normal, as is blemishing(scratch and wear that may occur during transportation) and is excluded from this limited warranty. MODIFYING ANY Product AND/OR DAMAGE TO ANY Products THAT ARISES FROM OR IS RELATED TO: NORMAL USE AND WEAR, ABUSE, OR ACCIDENTS; MODIFICATION; IMPROPER PREPARATION, INSTALLATION OR USE; IMPROPER CLEANING; FAILURE TO FOLLOW ANY RELEVANT INSTRUCTIONS; AND/OR THE LIKE IS NOT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY AND COMPLETELY VOIDS THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.
- We will test and inspect the product before accepting it for return. One must demonstrate the fault to us clearly. Our most common cause of return is user error.
- Quite often we can reach an amicable solution that does not involve the cost of sending the product back. We as Intrepid Traders may only accept an item for return once we have liaised with the respective representatives at the wholesaler.
- In cases which cannot be resolved without visual inspection, a couple of good quality photographs or a short video may well suffice – and save the costs of couriers.
- The Wholesaler and Intrepid Traders will credit, replace or repair a returned product at our discretion.
- Intrepid Traders is not authorised to give credits or replace products on the wholesalers behalf without consulting first.
- For return-for-credit on new products all original packing must be included, as well as
invoice numbers, date of purchase etc. Items MUST be in a completely re-sellable condition.
For all returns the following is needed:
- Customer name
- Customer contact details
- Store contact details and name of staff member who attended to the return
- Proof of purchase (Till slip),Date of purchase and
- Date of return to the retailer
- Full description of fault
- Product must be in a clean state
- In the case of larger items please identify the point of fault with a sticker or some such
identification.
The customer is responsible for transportation of goods to Intrepid Traders, while we will cover its return back to you.

CLIMBING WALL PANELS
- COLOUR, SIZE AND WOOD VARIATIONS – Our panels come in four (4) sizes 2.4 x 1.2m, 1.2 x 1.2m, 1.2m x 40cm and 1.2m x 20cm ( occasionally panels may be slightly longer or shorter than the aforementioned sizes.
- We use PINE shutterply (Indoor and sheltered outdoor use) and MARINE ply (outdoor use). PINE SHUTTERPLY contains layers of 100% pine ply to form a board. (Shutterply) is suitable for use in indoor and sheltered outdoor spaces and should not be exposed to the elements (direct sunlight and precipitation) should last anything between 3 – 5 years depending on use, exposure to the elements and maintenance. MARINE PLY contains layers of hardwood (resistant to moisture) to form a board. Marine Ply is suitable for indoor and outdoor use and should last anything between 5 – 10 years depending on use, weather conditions and maintenance. If you have any concerns regarding your product please contact us and we will assess the panels and climbing equipment for you (additional costs apply to service check ups). PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU REFER TO THE USER GUIDES ON HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR PANELS TO EXTEND IT’S LIFETIME AND FOR INSTRUCTION OF PROPER USE.
- We manufacture our panels from order to order and hold very little stock. Occasionally Colour hues may from board to board or set to set due to the underlying wood colour or order batch our panels come from. If you prefer to have as little discrepancy in your order we recommend placing a custom order with us specifying your choice.
- As our panels are made from wood, wood grain and blemishes may be slightly visible after painting and finishing. We believe this lends character to our products and gives a nod back to where we source our products from.
- LEAD TIMES – We mainly manufacture our climbing wall panels to order but do occasionally have a small amount of stock (offcuts from previous orders). Lead time for items in stock is approximately 1 – 5 working days from confirmation of payment (dependent on delivery method and area order will be delivered to).
- Lead time for custom or large orders is approximately 14 – 21 working days from confirmation of payment ( Occasionally we do experience high volumes of orders and the lead time may increase, we will communicate lead times with you to keep you up to date).

OUTFITTING/CLOTHING/GEAR

RETURNS & EXCHANGES
We will gladly exchange or refund a product purchased from us, provided that it meets the below criteria:
- there is valid proof of purchase, i.e. Intrepid Traders invoice.
- it is within 30 days of the original purchase date
- it is in its original packaging and condition and:
- the product is unworn and unused
- the product tag is still attached
- the security seal or shrink wrap is intact (if applicable)
- includes all original accessories and/or parts (if applicable)
Please note:
- The return of items to us is at your own cost and you must use your own courier or drop it off at our head office.
- Refunds take 2 – 4 weeks to process once we have received your returned item or cancelled your order.
- For exchanges, after we have received the unwanted items from you, can take 1 – 2 weeks to process and deliver back to you
- You must contact us first to arrange a return or exchange before sending items to us.
- If using a courier, please wrap and package the product in a box that is suitable for transport by courier.
- All refunds are processed by EFT.

What if I receive a damaged or defective item with my order?
Should a product be damaged or defective at the time of delivery, please contact us within 7 days of receiving the item so that we can arrange a replacement. We will send a courier (at our own cost) to collect the damaged/incorrect product and replace it with the correct product.
What is a defective or damaged item?
A damaged or defective item refers to a material imperfection in the manufacturing of a product or any characteristic of a product, which makes the product less acceptable than one would reasonably be entitled to expect under normal circumstances. Examples of this include poor stitching quality, tears, incomplete items, lack of weather sealing (where applicable) and poor quality fabric.
The following are not regarded as defects:
- faults resulting from normal wear and tear;
- damage arising from negligence, user abuse or incorrect usage of the product;
- damage arising from electrical surges, fire or corrosion;
- damage arising from a failure to adequately care for or wash the product as per the specific wash and care instructions;
- damage arising from unauthorised alterations to the product; and
- where the specifications of a product, although accurately described on the website and generally fit for its intended purpose, do not suit you.

All of the above brands are dropshipped from Cape Town (Drop shipping as a supply chainmanagement method in which the retailer does not keep goods in stock but instead transfers its customer’s orders and shipment details to either the wholesaler, who then ships the goods directly to the customer)
LEAD TIME FOR CLIMBING EQUIPMENT & GEAR IS APPROXIMATELY 4 – 7 WORKING DAYS FROM PAYMENT CONFIRMATION. VARIANCES WILL BE COMMUNICATED WITH YOU TO KEEP YOU UP TO DATE.

CRASH AND LANDING MATS
As our inhouse crash, landing and exercise mats are made to order we only offer a 3 month replacement warranty of item if there are any manufacturing faults.
Shipping/ Delivery
We offer two options for shipping
- Collection – on completion of your order you can collect at our premises in Boksburg, Gauteng.
- Courier – due to our varied product range we will quote shipping separately on receipt of your order.
At Intrepid we pride ourselves in the timely manner that we process, pack and ship all of our customer orders. All in stock items are shipped out within 2 business days from the time an order is placed. We work with various Courier companies to source the quickest manner for your order to be received. We provide Shipping to most locations across South Africa with a shipping lead time of 2-7 business days, dependent on Province or City.
All orders sent by courier do not include insurance. If you require insurance please contact us.
International Orders
Currently we do not offer delivery services for international orders.
